National Ainu Museum Online Reservations

  • The tickets sold on this site are timed tickets for admission to the National Ainu Museum.
  • A separate Upopoy entry ticket is required to enter Upopoy.
    Refer to the Upopoy website for details.

    Entry to the museum is included with admission to Upopoy.

  • Timed tickets specify the date and time of entry for your visit. Online Reservations are required for all visitors.
  • Reception period of Timed Entry Pass starts from 12AM of day two weeks prior to a day of visit till after 30min of selected timed entry time.

Timed Entry Pass
  • All tickets must be reserved online. Tickets cannot be reserved by phone.
  • Entry times are staggered in one-hour increments. However, there is no limit on visit duration.
  • If you arrive over 1 hour after your reservation time, you may need to make a reservation again.
  • Tickets cannot be changed, cancelled, or refunded.
  • Last entry:30 minutes before closing.

Do not enter the Museum if you have a fever, cough, or other symptoms of illness.
All visitors and staff are subject to a temperature screening upon entry. Anyone with a temperature of 37.5℃ (99.5℉) or higher will not be allowed in the Museum.
Wear a mask during your visit.
Sanitize your hands prior to viewing the exhibitions using the alcohol spray provided or by washing them with soap and water in a restroom.
Please keep a distance from other visitors of at least 2 meter.
Keep conversation to a minimum when inside the exhibition galleries.
Do not to touch the exhibition objects, cases, equipment, or walls.
Timed Entry Pass resale is prohibited.
Please keep a record of the date and time you visited the Museum. If anyone at the Museum tests positive for the novel coronavirus, Upopoy will post this information on Upopoy website. Please check the website periodically following your visit and contact your local health authorities if you discover a positive case was detected when you were at the Museum.

Ticket Presentation Methods

Present your Timed Entry Pass to museum staff at the museum, either electronically or with a print-out.
Museum staff will scan your QR code prior to admission.
*A separate Upopoy entry ticket is required to enter Upopoy.

    Show staff the QR code displayed on the order confirmation page or the page indicated in the link in your order confirmation email.
    One QR code will be displayed per person for each ticket.
    Remember to charge your smartphone prior to your visit.
  • Print At Home


    Print out the order confirmation page or the page indicated in the link in your order confirmation email.
    One ticket will be issued per person.
    Print out the ticket on A4 or letter-size paper.
    Please confirm that the QR code and serial number are printed clearly on your ticket.
    Tickets may be printed in black-and-white.

Additional Information

  • You cannot cancel after you have made your Reservation.
    Please carefully review your Timed Entry Pass selection and billing information before submitting your order.
  • If the "Reserve Numbered Tickets" button is not displayed after the on-sale period start time, please refresh the page or clear your browserfs cache (temporary Internet file) and open the Online Tickets page again.
  • Please complete your Reservation within 15 minutes from displaying the Review Your Selection page. Please note that after 15 minutes your Reservation will time-out and selected tickets will go back to inventory.
  • Please do not use multiple windows to process the Reservation, or click on your browserfs back button. It may not process correctly.
