    ＊Tickets available for only 50 seats.
    ＊Tickets for Session 2 (7:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m.) will be sold only at the museum reception on the day of the event (first-come, first-served basis).
    Venue：The Genchō-an Tearoom, The Suntory Museum of Art 6F.

    Includes: For tea service ticket holders, usucha (thin matcha) and sweets will be served on a first-come, first-served basis during the event hours (no tea-making demonstration). Approximately six guests may enter the tea room at a time.

    How to Participate: After entering the museum, please present your tea service ticket at the tea room on the 6th floor and pick up a numbered ticket during the event hours. You will be admitted in numerical order; please enjoy a bowl of matcha and seasonal sweets. The tea room can accommodate approximately six people, so there may be a wait during busy periods.
    ＊Registration begins at 5:15 p.m. (Please do not come to the 6th floor before registration begins.)
    ＊You cannot reserve a specific entry time. As it may be crowded shortly after the event begins, we recommend arriving a little later.
    ＊If you wish to participate as a group, numbered tickets will be issued once everyone in your group has arrived. Depending on how crowded it is, members of your group may be seated separately, or you may be directed to auxiliary seating.

A separate exhibition fee is required to attend the tea service.
All seating will be in chairs (no floor seating on tatami).
Preschool-aged children are not allowed to participate.
Please note that there may be a wait during busy times.
You cannot reserve a specific entry time. As it may be crowded shortly after the event begins, we recommend arriving a little later.
The tea room is not usually open to the public. No entry is allowed outside of the opening hours, and tea and sweets cannot be taken home.

On the day of your visit, please show your ticket by either method below at the entrance.
A museum staff will be scanning your ticket QR code then you can enter the museum.

    One QR code will be displayed per person for each ticket.
    Please ensure your phone has enough battery on the day of visit.

  • Print At Home

    Print out ticket on confirmation page after purchase or print out later from the link received in your order confirmation email.
    Print out ticket on A4 or Letter size paper.
    Please confirm that the QR code and serial number are printed clearly on your ticket.
    Black and white printing is sufficient.
